Dr Moir and his staff regularly arrange consultations for patients who are travelling
from overseas and within Australia . Dr Moir also visits Noosa and Caboolture
once a fortnight for a clinic. To make an appointment please phone the

It is advisable to present a referral at your consultation. A referral from a GP
will last 12 months (or 3 months if from another specialist Doctor).
Consultations in the rooms, operation fees, anaesthetist fees,
pathology fees and paediatrician’s fees may attract a rebate from
Medicare and your Health Fund. (Please note: Health fund rebates
only apply to services performed as an Inpatient in an approved
hospital). A referral is essential to claim the rebate you may be
entitled to.

Services
PAYMENTS:
Payment is requested at the time of consultation. We accept
cash, cheque, EFTpos, Visa, Bankcard, and MasterCard. An estimate of fees can be obtained when the appointment is booked. We are able to lodge your claim with Medicare on your behalf. You need to notify the surgery of your bank account details, or a cheque can be posted to you. Alternatively, you may take the invoice/receipt with you and visit Medicare in person. Aged pensioners are bulk billed directly to Medicare.
VISITING NOOSAVILLE:
Dr Moir visits Noosaville once a fortnight for a half day. He usually sees antenatal patients, follow up appointments and post-op patients. He can see new patients in Noosa if they do not require an ultrasound scan or a procedure.
VISITING CABOOLTURE:
Dr Moir visits Caboolture once a fortnight for a half day. We see clients who wish to undertake IVF with IVF Caboolture. We also see any patients who require gynaecology ultrasound scans and pregnant ladies.
CANCELLATION FEE:
We require 24 hours notice of cancellation of an appointment otherwise a $25 fee is charged. Whenever possible, please telephone the surgery to let us know if you cannot make an appointment and then that time slot can be used by another patient. We always have a waiting list of patients who would like to have their appointment moved forward.
REFERRALS: If you wish to claim your refund form Medicare a referral letter is required from either your General Practitioner which lasts for 12months, or from another specialist which lasts for 3 months. Without a referral you will only be given the basic refund. Any new health problems need a new referral. If you haven’t seen Dr Moir for over twelve months you will need a new referral.
