Dr James Moir – Gynaecologist
Dr Moir qualified in Aberdeen, Scotland in July 1975. Early in his career, he spent seven years working as a medical officer and scientific research officer in Papua New Guinea. After completing an MSc degree at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1986, he returned to the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, initially gaining the Diploma of Obstetrics in Auckland, New Zealand in 1988. After a further year working in Chester in England, he obtained his specialist FRANZCOG qualification in Australia in December 1994.
Dr James Moir is the Clinical Director of Queensland Fertility Group Sunshine Coast.
Dr James Moir has four children, who are currently working or studying in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and in England.
Fiona – Practice Manager
Fiona has worked with Moir Medical since 2005. She qualified as a nurse on the Central Coast of NSW and has extensive hospital experience. Fiona worked for five years as a practice nurse/receptionist for a busy General Surgeon on the Central Coast before relocating to the Sunshine Coast in late 2003 and joining the Moir Medical team. Fiona is married with two children.
Catriona – Reception
Catriona joined the practice as receptionist in October 2019, having relocated from NSW seeking a sea change. She brings to the practice a background in legal and medical administration. Catriona is married with two children.
Rickie – Nurse Practitioner
Rickie relocated to the Sunshine Coast from New Zealand with her husband and two children three years ago. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse. Since joining Moir Medical, Rickie’s emphasis has been tailoring individualised reViva vaginal rejuvenation solutions for women. With her experience in nonsurgical improvements in women’s health and special interest in symptom treating, she aims to help women of all ages enjoy a better quality of life.
